1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy protects customers, networks and third parties. It applies to every person who accesses or uses VDSROOT services and is not an exhaustive list of prohibited conduct.
2. Illegal and harmful activity
Services must not be used to violate applicable law, facilitate crime, distribute unlawful material, exploit children, traffic illegal goods, make credible threats, harass others or infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights.
3. Malware, phishing and unauthorised access
Prohibited activity includes malware distribution, ransomware, credential theft, phishing, botnets, command-and-control systems, unauthorised access, password attacks, vulnerability exploitation and tools primarily intended to compromise third-party systems. Legitimate security testing requires prior written authorisation and must target systems the customer is authorised to test.
4. Network abuse
Denial-of-service attacks, reflection or amplification, packet spoofing, port scanning without permission, route manipulation, excessive connection attempts, interception of traffic and conduct that degrades shared infrastructure are prohibited.
5. Messaging and email
Unsolicited bulk email, purchased or harvested mailing lists, deceptive headers, email bombing and failure to honour opt-out requests are prohibited. Customers operating mail services must maintain appropriate authentication, abuse handling and list hygiene.
6. Resource misuse
Customers must remain within plan limits and may not deliberately evade metering, compromise platform isolation, run workloads that materially impair other customers or use shared compute for sustained workloads prohibited by the plan description. Cryptocurrency mining is permitted only where expressly authorised in writing.
7. Content and hosting responsibilities
Customers are responsible for hosted content and user-generated material. Upon a credible report, VDSROOT may request information, preservation of evidence, removal of content or other remediation. Repeat or severe violations may lead to immediate suspension.
8. Reporting and enforcement
Reports should be sent to admin@vdsroot.com with the relevant IP address, URLs, timestamps, logs and evidence. VDSROOT may investigate, preserve logs, limit traffic, remove access, suspend or terminate services and cooperate with competent authorities as legally required.
A customer who believes a report is mistaken should respond promptly with a clear explanation and supporting evidence.
